Schoolhouse Rock Rocks the Arvada Center!

If your kiddos like to sing and dance, this show is for you! A musical with lots of fun numbers, Schoolhouse Rock will entertain your whole family, from little guys up to Grandma & Grandpa!

I took my 5 and 8 year olds to the show, and they could not stop talking about it! They loved the songs (which reminded Mom and Dad of the old School house Rock shows we watched on TV as kids), and the story about a new teacher who finds creative ways to engage the students. The actors there are phenomenal, and they know how to work an audience full of kids and their families. With songs like 'Conjunction Junction' and 'Unpack Your Adjectives', your kids might even learn something!

There is not a bad seat in either theater (main stage or black box) at The Arvada Center, and there are plenty of seats still available. Weekday shows are $8 each, weekends are $10 each, and they are so worth it! Once you see a children's production at The Arvada Center, you'll definitely want to go back for more!

Schoolhouse Rock runs through May 15th. "Rock out" and get your tickets today at http://www.arvadacenter.org.

Based on the popular cartoon series from the 70s, Schoolhouse Rock Live! is a great show for toddlers to teens and an entertaining trip down memory lane for adults. Six very talented actors bring to life the story of a young first-time teacher preparing for his first day of school and his very humorous interactions with his own thoughts. This show is just over an hour long (which was the perfect amount of time to hold the attention of two 5-year-olds) and was jam-packed with catchy tunes and high-energy dancing. There were some really cool lighting and fog effects and I don't think most of the kids probably even realized that there were some great educational lessons in there, including math, history and science.

The musical performances at the Arvada Center are always fantastic, with the intimate venue, you really feel like a part of the show. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the free parking helps for a stress-free afternoon out. There are weekday and weekend performances through May 15th and tickets start at just $8.
